Life as Such

We seem to slowly find a bit of a routine to our new lives, in between all the madness. The boys were commenting on all the new things in our lives and about all the change. I never thought of it like that, that if you add up all the new and strange things we had to adapt to, it was a bit of a challenge. Most of what we were used to have changed in one go. It is not like just learning to use one new appliance and enjoying it for being new.

…. We got a new house in a new county in a new town, with new neighbours and new friends. We got new appliances all around that we had to figure out as I could not read all the booklets at once, so doing washing or microwaving sometimes became experiments. (Lots of blue clothes happened) CP only recently and with great disbelief showed me how to use the coffee machine (the one he badly wants) He went on about the silliness of having it and not knowing how to use it. I explained that Jat made us coffee with it every day after work and that I drank other coffee in the day.

We also had to put in new windows and a new door, which meant new keys for everyone. Add to that the new keys to the new car! Then (while builders were still in and Jat in California) CP got his new licence; job; car and house in a new town and county. It was new to us not to have him close. (And that he is now able and qualified to share his opinion on other peoples driving) :) Both Paul and John will move into the new extension of the school as the new school year takes momentum. Philip gets a whole new school and it looks great! Also a new route and new way of traveling to school. Also new to him and us, is when he got lost !! Jat found him and it was his first being late too…

Our church wants to move now…. Yes to a beautiful old church building in a new town and new county! Well sure the boys will make more new friends in the neighbourhood as they drive Paul s new scooter…..

And in time all the newness will wear off and become known and comfortable. Thank God for staying the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!!
